Get Cooking with Vale House Kitchen
Here at Vale House, we believe getting in touch with your food is hugely important – it’s better for the planet, it’s better for you, and we think it tastes much better too. But we know that a lot of people find the idea of cooking meals from scratch a bit intimidating, particularly when it involves preparing raw fish and meat, grappling with seasonal ingredients, or getting out the sharp knives – so that’s why we’re launching our brilliant new Beginners’ Cookery Day. Whether you’re a complete novice or you just want to get a bit more confident, professional chef Kieran Lenihan will guide you through all the basic skills you need to start making simple, delicious meals with fabulous local & seasonal ingredients.
But our Beginners’ Cookery Day isn’t the only new course we’ve got going on. At Vale House, we’ve always been incredibly passionate about the power of food to bring people together, and the importance of family and friends sharing the preparation and enjoyment of food as a way to bring them closer. It was always our plan to find a way to do this through the courses we offer and now, by popular demand, we bring you our Family Cookery Day! Book your own place for the day and you can bring along any young member of your family aged 10-16 for FREE – that’s right, it’s a complete bargain.
Together, you’ll get a masterclass from professional chef Kieran Lenihan in how to cook a proper mouth-watering Sunday roast, using seasonal meat and vegetables, and a selection of delicious old-fashioned Sunday desserts, including that firm family favourite, the crumble. It’s a brilliant way not only to learn a few fabulous skills that you’ll use over and over, but also to spend time together and bond over sharing a new experience. Places are limited as we can only accommodate five pairs of adult and child in our classroom (we keep our classes small to make sure you get plenty of help and guidance from our expert tutors) so if you’re interested, book now!
