As lockdown restrictions ease, Vale House Kitchen is delighted to announce that we’ll be reopening for classes on site! We’ll be starting on Sunday 9th of August with our ever-popular BBQ & Outdoor Eating Course with the brilliant Kieran Lenihan and we can’t wait to welcome you again.
As a cookery school, we have of course always taken cleanliness and hygiene very seriously, but we’ll be putting even more precautions in place to make sure that you can enjoy your visit without any worries. Classes will be limited to a maximum of five people so that correct social distancing can be observed in our classroom kitchen, and masks, gloves and hand sanitiser will be provided. Each guest will have their own dedicated workstation with separate recipe packs, equipment and utensils, and we’ll step up our usual routine with even more regular cleaning of stations, surfaces and common areas throughout the day.
We’ll still be providing a delicious shared lunch on our full-day courses but whenever weather permits, visitors can enjoy this in our beautiful garden – and we may even take a few aspects of the course itself, like ingredient prep, outside too.
Not able to visit us in person, or not quite comfortable with the idea yet? We’re also delighted to officially introduce our virtual courses! We’ve been running virtual courses in aid of the NHS throughout lockdown, and we’re proud to say we’ve raised over £500 through your generous donations. The online courses have been so popular we’ve decided to make them a regular feature!
Our virtual courses take place over Zoom (a link to join in will be provided once you’ve signed up), and will be limited to 12 participants so you can chat and ask questions just like you would in our classroom.
