BBQ season is just around the corner!
So many of you have asked us for a course dedicated to one of summer’s greatest pleasures, the fine art of the BBQ – and we’re delighted to announce that by popular demand, we’ll be introducing our first BBQ course this July!
On our BBQ and Outdoor Eating course, you’ll spend the whole day learning how to create a fantastic al fresco feast under the expert guidance of professional chef Kieran Lenihan. There’s something really wonderful about a proper banquet in the garden on a beautiful summer’s evening, with a fully-laden table big enough to get the whole family round and delicious smells floating on the balmy air. Forget the usual soggy buns and supermarket sausages, we firmly believe that when you get it right, you can create a superb meal with your BBQ – and Kieran is just the man to show you how.
You’ll start with the essential basics, learning how to choose and take care of the best equipment for the job (just like any kind of cookery, you’ve got to have the right tools). Then you’ll move on to recipes that will seriously upgrade your barbecued meats – think mouth-watering glazes, rubs and marinades, and making your own burgers and kofte (so much better made fresh than anything you can buy). Kieran will also take you through new tricks and techniques for using your BBQ – it’s much more than just a grill, and smoking and curing your own fish and meat is a sure-fire way to impress your guests.
Of course, it’s not just about meat as the star of the show – Kieran’s also got a whole host of fantastic veggie BBQ dishes up his sleeve, bursting with the best seasonal summer ingredients, plus all the side dishes and trimmings you need to make this a proper feast that absolutely everyone can enjoy. As well as a whole day of creative and inspiring cookery, you’ll also share a fantastic two course lunch with the rest of the course attendees, and go home with a folder full of recipes and a few of your own delicious creations from the day.
