The Shooting Experience – 2 day Course
This two-day course is all about the complete field to fork experience, beginning with a day at Shellard’s Shoot that incorporates both clay pigeon shooting and a couple of game drives. This is followed by a day in the kitchen learning how to put game on the menu at home, with all the necessary preparation techniques and some delicious recipes. Lunch is included on both days.
Day One: Introduction to Game Shooting
On day one, we’ll meet at the award winning Shellard’s Shoot just outside Bath for a few breakfast bites to start the day, before a full gun safety briefing by the shooting instructors and a morning’s instruction on clay pigeons. After a light lunch, we’ll cover the subjects of driven game shooting, etiquette, tipping and the countryside code and head off for a couple of game drives where you will have the opportunity to shoot pheasant and other wild game birds. The day ends with a glass of fizz back at the Farm House and the chance to chat through what we have learnt during the day.
