Nothing gets us in the Christmas mood quite like a day of baking! On this special Festive Baking Course, you’ll learn how to make sensational seasonal treats that all the family will enjoy, and acquire some good basic bread skills you’ll be able to use all year round.

- Homemade mincemeat and some fabulous mince pies.
Our expert tutor Andy will demonstrate the techniques for each recipe, and then he’ll be on hand for tips and troubleshooting as you get stuck in and have a go. Each of the three doughs we’ll make has its own distinctive characteristics, and this course will equip you with an understanding of how each dough should feel and what makes it ‘tick’, so you’ll be confident making it again at home.
We’ll also be making some homemade mincemeat and then using it to make delicious mince pies. We’ll make sure that you have a jar to take home with you and after a couple of weeks it’ll be matured and more scrumptious than ever, just in time for your Christmas baking.
At the end of the day, you’ll go home with all your own delicious creations, plus a course booklet which includes all the recipes used and some guidance notes. The day also includes a fabulous lunch.
