Led by expert Vivien Lloyd (WI judge, and multiple award-winner for her own homemade jams and marmalades), this course celebrates the arrival of summer produce. The day begins with tastings of Vivien’s scrumptious homemade jams, jellies and cordials, which provides a chance for Vivien to explain the characteristics of these traditional preserving methods.
We’ll then alternate demonstrations and the chance to get hands-on as you learn the simple stages of making these preserves, top tips and tricks, and common pitfalls to avoid. By the end of the day, you’ll have a host of your own jars and bottles to take home, as well as a course booklet full of recipes. A delicious lunch is also included.
