One Day Game Shooting

You’ll start your day with a warm welcome at Shellards Shoot, a few breakfast bites and given a full briefing for the day. This is a family run shoot in Wellow just south of Bath. Locally known as “Shellards Shoot” it won The Shooting Times best small shoot in 2013.

Each of the participants will get to shoot on a 100-120 bird driven day, with elevenses out in the field and lunch at the end of the day. Shellards Shoot is just over 600 acres, largely centred on a deep, hill-flanked valleys and woodland. Frank always shows challenging birds that will test even the best of shots. His shooting philosophy is succinct: “What I aim for is to provide an experience of the whole day for the Guns. It’s not just about pulling a trigger, but we try to ensure the sport is full and meaningful from the first coffee on meeting to the end of the day.”
