Clay Shooting and Game Butchery

If you’re interested in our hugely popular game shooting experience, but hesitating about signing up for the full two day course then join us for a fantastic one day course of Clay Shooting and Game Butchery. Here we will pack in a bit of everything for you to try! Suitable for all skill levels, whether you’ve been shooting before or not.

We’ll start the day at Shellard’s Shoot in beautiful nearby Wellow, where Shellards’ experienced instructors will go over the key points of shooting safety, then get you started shooting clays. We’ll finish up the morning with a mini simulated game drive to give you an idea of what it’s like to go shooting in the field. We’ll also cover the subjects of driven game shooting, etiquette, tipping and the countryside code

After a delicious lunch we’ll spend the afternoon getting to grips with cooking game. Bod will lead a demo on butchering pheasant, and then you’ll have a go at doing it yourself. Finally, Bod will prepare a quick and delicious pheasant dish for you to try, before you head home with an info pack of our favourite game recipes to have a go at in your own kitchen.
